News – Thomas Dolby cancels Moogfest 2019 appearances due to illness – updates on affected events

April 27, 2019 – Moogfest 2019 announced Thomas Dolby cancelled his appearances today – his 230pm discussion with Jason Leopold and his 800pm concert later tonight.

According to the link below, he was taken to the hospital last night with a serious illness, but is expected to fully recover.

Update – According to Moogfest, music artist Questlove (the Root) and Public Policy scholar Michael C. Munger of Duke University joined the panel with journalist Jason L eopold in his place.
Moderated by The Outline’s Drew Millard, the panel discussed the Freedom of Information Act, the nature of truth in 2019, and, of course, synths. A replacement for Thomas’s nighttime performance slot was filled.

Yesterday morning, Thomas Dolby did respond via his Twitter account.  We wish him a speedy recovery.
